Duncan Hall at Rice University, Site of the 2012 Connexions Conference

The Connexions Conference will take place on the beautiful wooded campus of Rice University, the home of Connexions. All sessions and keynotes will take place in Duncan Hall (pictured above). Duncan Hall is Rice’s computational engineering building and was designed to encourage collaboration between the four different departments housed there. The building’s colorful Martel Foyer, drawn from many world cultures, was designed by the architect to symbolically express this collaborative purpose.

The gala dinner and reception will be held at the Conference Hotel, Hotel ZaZa, located just steps away from the campus of Rice University.

Parking at Rice University

An interactive map of the Rice University campus can be found at http://www.rice.edu/maps/maps.html

Rice provides a guide to visitors' parking here: http://parking.rice.edu/Content.aspx?id=177. For those driving to campus, there is daily parking for $1 located in the Greenbriar lot west of the stadium. You can then walk around the stadium to the campus shuttle bus stations in West Lot. Conference attendees can also pay to park closer to the shuttle bus in:

  • West Lot 5 (between the stadium and the Shepherd School of Music, #13 on the map)
  • Founders Court Lot (on the east side of campus near the Cohen House Faculty Club, #18)
  • Central Parking Garage, underground (just east of the Shepherd School of Music).

In all cases other than the $1 Greenbriar lot, parking is $11 daily maximum and can be paid by credit card. The Central Parking Garage also accepts cash. The "Inner Loop" shuttle bus is free and will drop you at Duncan Hall where the conference is.
